New Features
EQUAL Sigma Updates
We have continued updating EQUAL Sigma based on user feedback. In this release the micronotes that are used to help guide the generated feedback field was initially displayed a small text box that would only show 6-7 words. We've updated this to be a larger (and resizeable) input, so that slightly more detailed feedback can be used.
As we continue to refine EQUAL Sigma (and as the landscape of AI models changes), the prompts and models that are used by Sigma to generate feedback may need changing:
We might find that certain courses would benefit from more precise prompt engineering, due to the nature of the content being assessed
We might find that newer models provide better feedback at a reduced price
We might also find that some models are better at assessing some courses compared than others.
With this in mind, Engineering are releasing a sandbox tool that allows people to test changes to prompts and models, using past assessments as a baseline. This would allow our Quality and Assessor Services team to test out those changes and see what impact they have.
This tool is now in beta, and will be refined further based on the feedback provided by those teams.
Welcome Courses
Currently, when a learner is enrolled onto EQUAL via the TSN Website or as part of a Bootcamps cohort then we enrol them onto a "Welcome Course", designed to aid the learner with how EQUAL works and how they can expect to be supported.
In this release, we add the ability for this enrolment to be toggled off at a project level if this wouldn't be appropriate for that method of delivery.
