New Features

Hide Main Equal tutors from External Submissions.

Previously if they were an external learner on a tenancy, the tutors list would show tutors from both the tenancy as well as main Equal. We have added an option to hide Main Equal tutors from External Submissions. With this there is tenancies can flag to Hide tutors from main Equal so that they can only see tutors from their external tenancy.

New Awarding Bodies.

We have added new awarding bodies – ‘SEG’ and ‘TSN’. These have been added in anticipation of a few qualifications with SEG that we need to be able to track against for courses.

Added nationality option to Enrolment search CSV.

We have added to the enrolment search CSV to include Nationality. When you now save an enrolment search to CSV nationality is now available to be seen if the value is set for the learner. This value can be found next to the ‘Ethnicity’ column.

Tap and Tap Accessibility

Previously Tap and Tap answers and boxes where you’d put the answers had no ability to change colour. Due to updating accessibility requirements within Product Development, the existing boxes failed on suitable contrast levels. This has been updated so content authoring can edit box colours for accessibility. There is now the ability to fully modify the colour of the answers as well as the boxes they go into.

MathML – Fractions

Currently, if course content involves mathematical symbols (for example, fractions), then there isn't an easy way to display that content to learners in an accessible way. This release adds support for "MathML", which is a special markup language that allows complex mathematical content to be displayed in the browser.

For this initial release, this content needs to be written manually without line breaks. The development team are planning on reviewing this in the future.

Wordsearch/Crossword component Colour options.

In recent updates there have been additions to existing product development components allowing for further customisation of components. With this update we have updated the wordsearch/crossword component to have colour selection for the reward bar inline with recent changes made to other components that have reward bars. With this product development will be able to have further options for how content may look like for learners.

Equal Contact Details

Historically, the contact number that displays on the help page for a learner has to be updated by the development team, requiring a ticket. This has now been updated to automatically pull the data from the "Sites" administration page using the Phone Number and Email Address settings. As a consequence of this, the help page in question can no longer be edited through the system and will require a development ticket to be changed.

We have a larger project in the design stage to look at these help pages so that they can be used more flexibly.

Add Attendance dashboard for Live Learning Sessions
This adds a page where a member of staff can find all learners who have missed any live learning sessions, instead of just 10 who have not been chased in the last 24 hours. The previous dashboard title has been turned into a link to this page.

We have also taken the opportunity to move the existing dashboard to a new "Bootcamps" page, in preparation for new Bootcamp specific dashboard items that will be added down the line.

You can also view this page from the cohorts page, and select the "Session Attendance" tab. On this page, you can search for learners by:

• Their name
• The name of the cohort
• The type of the cohort
• When they missed the session
• Which project the learner is attached to
• The name of the course
• The LSA assigned to the learner
• Whether the sessions have been chased
• When the last chase attempt was made
• Searching will show similar information:

There is also a CSV download option which will include the same information.

Bug Fixes

• Updated an issue surrounding default padding values of image component. Image hotspot component modal sizing bug relating to its min and max height settings for content.
• Tap and Tap component scoring to allow for fake data to not affect scoring. Fixed an issue surrounding time records not being saved when learners were using iPhones.
• Updated default values for content authoring reveal bars component in regards to alignment.
• Fixed an issue relating to content authoring component duplication and data loss when a page title matched an existing page title.
• Fixed an issue relating to components losing their ability to be reordered using draggable.
• Updated password special character detection to allow for underscores in passwords.
  • Updated an issue where password reset requests for tenancy learners were being redirected to main Equal. They now should be correctly redirecting to their tenancy Equal site.​​​​​​​
