The EQUAL Dev team are planning a release on the 8th August. After the successful delivery of the zero-downtime release last month, we will be again doing a zero-downtime release during the day.

If you've got any questions about the items in the release, please feel free to ask. Please feel free to share with any customers so they're aware of the upcoming changes.

New Features

Update to initial assessments

We have updated the initial assessment feature to change the tone if a learner is unsuccessful.
Learners can also download their IA results as a PDF

Updates to placeholder enrolments

Originally, placeholder enrolments set a placeholder value for the learner's address etc. This has now been changed to require that from the learner.

Include Learner Intent Information with Bootcamps Applications

Similar to the release a few months back that included learner intents when being enrolled, this information is now included for Bootcamps enrolments.

Add ability to preview diagnostic assessment questions

It was previously not possible to preview the diagnostic assessment questions, requiring you to manually set up a diagnostic assessment up on a test learner to verify that it works correctly. This adds the ability to preview a diagnostic assessment question, similar to the content authoring preview.

Add ability to search learner by phone number

We will be adding a search option on the Learner Search page to allow you to search by phone number. As part of this process, we will be taking the steps to standardise all phone numbers from the +44 format to 0… to allow this search to be performant which will take a few days in the background.

Add the ability to add captions to tables

It is now possible to add a caption to a table as part of content authoring.

Bug Fixes

  • TQUK certificate files included the course name, which would then hit the character limit for a file on Windows devices. We have now removed the course name from those files
  • It was possible to "drag" a value into an input on EQUAL and paste that value, even if the paste is disabled. This has now been corrected
