The EQUAL Dev team are planning a release on the 20th October during the day. No downtime is expected in this release.

If you've got any questions about the items in the release, please feel free to ask. Please feel free to share with any customers so they're aware of the upcoming changes.

New Features

Additional Welcome Contact Tracking

There are two additional fields on the course tab for a learner:

  • Welcome Course Complete
  • Welcome Call Second Attempt

The Welcome Course Complete field should be automatically set for learners that complete a Welcome Course enrolment (though this will not affect existing enrolments)

Add the ability to bulk assign tutors to all cohort sessions

Currently, to assign a tutor to all sessions in a cohort a user has to click through every session one by one. Since that is at least 12 sessions (and in some cases is as high as 48), this is a tedious task.

This now adds a new option to the dropdown next to the "Live Learning Sessions" title which will allow you to assign a tutor to all sessions in one go.

Bug Fixes

  • Prevent cases where it was possible to approve or reject a request that had already been actioned
  • Update the assessment prompt to fit our current branding guidelines

Internal Only Updates

This section doesn't need to go to any customers - this is just for awareness
inside the company, in case there are any problems reported.

  • Some internal engineering changes have been made which will allow us to deploy more changes in the background without affecting day to day operations. As we begin to take advantage of these features, we will include more information about how they will be used.
  • A noisy error relating to diagnostic assessments has been silenced
  • A noisy error that appears if a non-existing resit is accessed has been silenced
  • Correct issue where triggering a course change could create confusing audit log entries. Existing audit log entries will remain
