New Features

Adding links to LLS recordings inside EQUAL

For our Bootcamp learners, their Live Learning Sessions (LLS) are recorded and stored in a separate system. Providing a learner access to this recording requires a various steps inside that system, and also requires various workarounds to provide it to the learner.

This release will add a link inside the EQUAL system (available on the Live Learning Session page or the cohort itself), which can be copied and sent to the learner. As with most of our new features, this initial release provides a basic version with the aim being to improve the user experience once the feature has been validated in real life usage.

Add tooltips to learner flags

As long term EQUAL users will be aware, at the top of the Learner page includes various icons that give information about what state the learner is in (for example, whether the learner is an external learner or not).

These icons have existed for many years, and newer users might not be aware of what they all mean. In this release, the various icons will now have a tooltip on them that will appear when hovering the mouse on them. For any future releases that add icons to the learner area, we will also add these tooltips.

Add a field to track the status of a tutor

Currently, there is no way to mark whether a tutor is no longer active and marking work. This release adds the ability to set the status of the tutor. Our current approach will mark all existing tutors as active, but the development team are able to bulk set the status of tutors - please get in touch to handle this.
