The EQUAL Dev team are planning a release on the 4th November at 12pm.

New Features

EQUAL Sigma and Sigma Sandbox

We are continuing with our work refining the Sigma tool. In this release the 2 main features regarding Sigma are the addition of Claude 4.5 to the Sandbox and the extension of marking sessions to 14 days. These updates will help a lot with tutors not running out of time to use Sigma to generate feedback as well with the Sigma teams ongoing refinement on the feedback we use to refine Sigma.

Power BI Embedded

With this release we have added the ability for the BI team to view PowerBI reports within EQUAL. This work will hopefully allow for more visibility and a better workflow.

Azure SSO Integration

We currently have a typical username/password login functionality on EQUAL. With this update we add the ability for you to be able to log into EQUAL using a Microsoft account.

Block Work Submitted Email sending on Courses

Currently, when a learner completes an assessment we have a Work Submitted email that is sent. This doesn't make complete sense on certain courses where the materials are generated using articulate rise and/or Scorm/Tin Can resources. This update adds a feature that the relevant teams can update assessments on a course to block sending this communication so not to add confusion to the learners user journey.

Iframe Titles and various accessibility updates

Our ongoing work with accessibility within EQUAL has a bunch of updates this release. We have added the ability for content authoring to add title attributes to Iframe components. This will allow for screen readers to be communicated what the resource is before the user interacts with it.

In other Accessibility updates we have added various attributes to expandable components and various CTA Buttons in learner room resources and calendar which will make learners who navigate EQUAL using accessibility tools have a better experience.
